We wanted to introduce our team with more than stats and facts. In an effort to dive deeper, we adapted the Proust Questionnaire (via Vanity Fair) to pose questions that revealed more.

What is your idea of perfect happiness? Walking in Muir Woods or Paris, reading outside, cooking and sharing a meal with people I love

What is it that you most dislike? Fundamentalism, in all its forms

Who are your heroes? My grandparents


What do you value most in your friends?
A good sense of humor

Describe your favorite meal. That usually depends on the season and the circumstances. If I had to pick one last supper, it’d be a dozen, ice-cold, small, briny, unadorned raw oysters with a glass of Champagne, La Buvette’s beet soup, Grassroots Farms chicken roasted with shallots, thyme, fennel, carrots, and potatoes, a simple green salad, a piece of Cowgirl Creamery Mt Tam, a piece of Theo 70% dark chocolate, a shot of Fernet-Branca, an espresso, and a Gauloises Blonde. Good Night!

Which talent would you most like to have? Written and spoken mastery of multiple languages starting with English and Spanish, and including a minimum of Latin, Greek, Yiddish, Hebrew, Arabic, Basque, Irish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Ukrainian, Mandarin, and Japanese

Where would you most like to visit? Patagonia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Scandinavia are topping my list at the moment, and long-term travel goal is to spend at least one day in every U.S. National Park

When is your best time of day? Morning, after coffee

What is your most treasured possession? My art collection, including those old drawings from my kids
