Clara brings a diverse background to her commercial real estate practice, combining over a decade of industry experience with expertise in entrepreneurship, public policy, sustainable development, and adaptive reuse.
She started cooking as a teenager, working her way through restaurants in Omaha, Israel, London, and San Francisco. In 1996, she landed in Savannah and opened her first business, Café Metropole, a restaurant and art gallery housed in an historic Greyhound bus station.
When deterioration of the building ultimately forced Café Metropole’s closure in 2002, Clara went to college. She earned a B.S. in Community and Regional Development from UC Davis while working as an environmental policy researcher and raising two children.
Post-college, Clara held roles with a green developer, an art college, and the City of Savannah. Other ventures included a monthly underground supper club, Savannah’s first modern cocktail bar, food business consulting, and helping launch Forsyth Farmers’ Market.
As someone who has personally navigated leasing decisions, commercial construction projects, landlord challenges, big bureaucracies, and business cycles, Clara brings an operator’s mindset to every client relationship. It is in this spirit that she founded Level CRE in 2025.
Clara is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. She currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Savannah Satellite.
Outside of work, Clara competes in a local tennis league, practices yoga, and still loves to cook and entertain.

A Savannah native and Yale University graduate, Zoe has spent her career working at the intersection of housing, land use, environmental stewardship, and community development. With this wide-ranging background, she brings a unique perspective to her work in commercial real estate.
Zoe began her career in housing and urban development at the City of Baltimore, where she helped execute a multimillion-dollar initiative addressing vacant properties. From there, she took a decidedly different turn, becoming the first employee at a commercial real estate research startup in Washington, D.C.
In 2019, Zoe returned home to lead the Savannah Tree Foundation. During more than five years as Executive Director, she grew the organization, expanded its programs, and stewarded the relationship between development, land use, infrastructure, and Savannah’s natural environment.
After leaving the Foundation, Zoe spent time helping her husband buy and grow a custom cabinetry business, giving her a taste of entrepreneurship.
Through these varied experiences, Zoe has developed a knack for looking at problems from multiple perspectives and turning complicated issues into practical strategies. She brings that same approach to her work at Level CRE.
Zoe currently serves as Chair of the Chatham County Tree Commission and Co-Chair of ULI Savannah’s Sponsorship and Membership Committee. In 2021, she was named a Savannah Magazine New Guard honoree, and in 2023, she was selected as a TEDxSavannah speaker.
Outside of work, Zoe can be found wrangling her two small children, perfecting her baking recipes, and hopefully finishing one house project before starting a new one.
