LOCAL DEVELOPMENT BY LOCAL PEOPLE

Earlier this month, I had the privilege of speaking about commercial real estate at the Jumpstart Coastal Georgia program, hosted by Housing Savannah, Inc. It was energizing to spend time with a cohort of aspiring small-scale developers who are committed to building opportunity and strengthening neighborhoods across our region. 

As Business Development Director at Level CRE, much of my work centers around connecting people, places, and potential. Sharing commercial real-estate fundamentals with the Jumpstart class was a perfect extension of that mission.

Jumpstart Coastal Georgia is a hands-on training and capacity-building program designed to equip local residents with the skills to pursue small-scale development in their own communities. It blends instruction, coaching, and practical tools to help participants. The program is grounded in the belief that local people should help shape local development — a vision that Level CRE shares. 

Housing Savannah has created something truly impactful with Jumpstart. Their leadership, organization, and dedication to supporting local capacity-building is vital to the future of equitable and thoughtful development in our region.
